NcodiN Appoints Carlo Guareschi as Chief Business Officer, Yacine Halioua as Chief Product Officer, and Zachary Cho as General Manager, France
Three internal appointments complete NcodiN’s executive team as the company organizes itself across Palaiseau and Silicon Valley.
PALAISEAU, France — September 14, 2026 — NcodiN, the deep-tech photonics company developing NConnect, the nanolaser-powered on-interposer optical interconnect platform, today announced three executive appointments. Carlo Guareschi becomes Chief Business Officer, Yacine Halioua becomes Chief Product Officer, and Zachary Cho becomes General Manager, France, all effective immediately.
The appointments follow the creation of NcodiN Inc., the company’s US subsidiary in Silicon Valley, and the arrival of Kiran Burli as Chief Operating Officer on September 1. As NConnect moves from lab to fab, NcodiN is organizing itself around two sites: ecosystem and supply-chain development, productization and commercialization in Silicon Valley; research, engineering and industrialization in Palaiseau.
Carlo Guareschi – Chief Business Officer
Carlo has run NcodiN’s customer and partner engagements since 2024, opening the accounts that now anchor the company’s position with tier-one chipmakers and leading the business terms of its agreements with industry partners. As CBO, he owns the commercial side of the business end to end, managing customer, supplier and partner accounts from first engagement through deal structuring, terms and closing.
He brings nearly three decades at STMicroelectronics in general management and strategy roles. As Group VP for Strategy, he drove the partnership with Luxtera that brought silicon photonics into ST and turned it into one of the company’s strongest growth drivers, and he later ran ST’s Automotive Infotainment Business Unit as Group VP and General Manager.
Yacine Halioua – Chief Product Officer
Yacine joined NcodiN in 2024 to lead product development and has taken NConnect from concept to first demonstration, building the product engineering team, leading the technical engagement with strategic industry partners and driving the industrialization push, including 300 mm wafer fabrication at CEA-Leti. As CPO, he will lead NcodiN’s Product Development Unit and own the product: its definition, use-cases, value proposition and the development roadmap that takes NConnect through qualification to commercialization.
Yacine spent a decade in industry at Lumentum, Huawei’s HiSilicon Optoelectronics and Spectricity, delivering a first-time-right III–V/SiN hybrid laser for coherent transceivers and the first hyperspectral imaging sensor for mobile devices.
Zachary Cho – General Manager, France
Zachary becomes General Manager, France, responsible for running NcodiN France day to day, covering finance, people, IT, legal and internal operations, and for the Palaiseau site as the company’s research, engineering and industrialization base alongside CTO and co-founder Fabrice Raineri. He transitions from Chief of Staff, where he built the company’s operating backbone, planning and hiring systems, and internal governance as NcodiN grew past 40 employees and stood up its US subsidiary
He brings a decade of operating experience in high-growth companies, including operations leadership at B2B SaaS platform Teale and seven years as co-founder and managing director of an award-winning hospitality group that he built to more than 40 employees and led through a successful exit.
“Carlo, Yacine and Zachary have each been building the company well beyond their titles for some time now,” said Francesco Manegatti, CEO and co-founder of NcodiN. “These appointments recognize what is already true and give each of them the mandate to scale their organizations. With Fabrice leading R&D from France, Kiran building our ecosystem and supply chain from Silicon Valley, and Carlo, Yacine and Zachary owning commercial, product and operations, NcodiN has established the foundations to take NConnect into the next phase of qualification.”
About NcodiN
NcodiN is a deep-tech photonics company headquartered in Palaiseau, France, developing NConnect — an on-interposer optical interconnect platform based on the world’s smallest InP-on-silicon directly modulated nanolasers. NcodiN’s technology addresses the bandwidth and power constraints of next-generation AI chip architectures, enabling optical I/O at a scale and efficiency previously unachievable. The company raised a €16M Seed round in 2025 and is backed by MIG Capital, Maverick Silicon, PhotonVentures, Verve Ventures, Elaia, Earlybird and OVNI.
