Tenstorrent Acquires Blue Cheetah, Opens Chiplet Spec

As it moves towards chiplets for its next-generation silicon, Tenstorrent has acquired analog IP design company Blue Cheetah, and has also opened its chiplet architecture spec, OCA (Open Chiplet Architecture), with a view to accelerating a composable chiplet ecosystem.
Die-to-die communication IP is becoming an increasingly competitive area. Qualcomm acquired Alphawave last month as the chip giant looks to expand from mobile processors into chiplet-based data center CPUs and NPUs.
