Egis Group and SiPearl Sign Strategic Cooperation and Investment Agreements to Expand Opportunities on a Global Scale
A major step forward in deepening technological and go-to-market cooperation between Taiwan and Europe in the field of next-generation hardware for HPC, AI and data centre on a global scale
Taipei, Taiwan -- October 22, 2026 — Egis Group (6462.TWO), a global fabless semiconductor group offering connectivity IPs and chiplet design turnkey services headquartered in Taipei, and SiPearl, the European fabless designer of high-performance energy-efficient CPUs for sovereign HPC, AI and data centre, today signed strategic cooperation and investment agreements.
The strategic cooperation agreement lays practical foundations for technological and go-to-market collaboration to expand opportunities for Taiwan–Europe cooperation in CPUs and chiplets for HPC, AI and data centre on a global scale. A key element of this collaboration brings to market Mobius100 (M100), the next-generation Arm® Neoverse V3-based server CPU developed in tandem by Alcor Micro (an Egis Group company - 8054.TWO) and SiPearl. SiPearl will leverage on the M100 architecture to launch Rhea2, its second-generation CPU designed for HPC, AI, Cloud Service Provider and data centre.
Given the rapid growth of AI, the complex geopolitical landscape and the restructuring of the semiconductor supply chain, establishing reliable and resilient technological partnerships has become a priority for the development of all countries. This collaboration between a Taiwanese company and a European company perfectly illustrates their shared vision of promoting innovative technologies, strengthening industrial competitiveness and deepening international cooperation.
As Europe’s leading designer of high-performance server CPUs, SiPearl is helping to develop Europe’s sovereign computing capabilities. The first samples of its Rhea1 CPU, based on Arm® Neoverse V1 architecture, have been delivered to Bull for integration into JUPITER, Europe’s most powerful supercomputer. Further samples were delivered to HPE as part of the OpenCUBE collaborative project, which aimed to provide a ready-to-deploy cloud platform blueprint in Europe. These milestones demonstrate SiPearl’s success in leveraging its expertise in CPU design to equip large-scale computing systems.
Developed by Alcor Micro hand by hand with SiPearl, M100 is a CPU chiplet platform designed for AI, HPC and data centre systems. Based on Arm® Neoverse V3 architecture, M100 integrates UCIe 2.0 IP provided by InPsytech. Building on its proven track-record in Arm® Neoverse software and hardware technologies, and its first commercial awards, SiPearl draws on its technological expertise and its knowledge of the European HPC and AI markets. Under this cooperation, the two companies will continue aligning the M100 platform with customer and system requirements and will develop new business opportunities.
M100 engineering samples are currently targeted for 2027, with volume production targeted for the second half of 2028. Actual timing will depend on product development, validation and customer requirements. Based on the architecture of M100 chiplet platform, Rhea2, SiPearl’ second-generation high-performance energy-efficient CPU, will be launched shortly afterwards.
Egis Group is also expanding a UCIe-based chiplet marketplace centered on its CPU chiplet platform. The marketplace connects chiplet functions including IO, MPU, DPU, GPU, CXL and PQC. It is designed to address the diverse compute, memory, connectivity and security needs of AI, HPC and data centre systems, and to help chip designers, system companies and ecosystem partners explore chiplet integration, packaging and system-design opportunities for specific applications. SiPearl and Egis Group will also explore next-generation CPU platforms.
“AI and HPC are expanding focus from individual nodes to complete platforms and ecosystems,” said Steve Lo, Chairman of Egis Group. “This cooperation connects SiPearl’s position in Arm-based CPU and computing-system markets globally with Alcor Micro’s design expertise and Egis Group’s chiplet capabilities. We look forward to working with customers, foundry partners and ecosystem companies to explore product and system opportunities in expanding markets.”
“Europe and Taiwan bring complementary strengths to the HPC, AI and data centre global value chain,” said Philippe Notton, CEO & Founder of SiPearl. “We are delighted to partner with Egis Group / Alcor Micro; this partnership will dramatically enrich technological cooperation between Taiwan and Europe to promote high-end resilient CPUs for HPC, AI, Cloud Service Provider and data centre on global scale.”
Egis Group and SiPearl will advance their cooperation in accordance with the signed agreements. Building on this partnership, the two companies aim to combine the complementary expertise of Europe and Taiwan in the field of semiconductors with that of their international partners specializing in HPC, AI, Cloud Service Provider and data centre. They will create new opportunities in terms of products, customers and collaboration within the global ecosystem.
