SANTA CLARA, CA – April 29, 2024 – Celestial AI™, creator of the Photonic Fabric™ optical interconnect technology platform, today announced the appointment of Diane Bryant to the Company’s Board of Directors (“the Board”) effective April 11, 2024.
With more than 30 years of semiconductor, AI and public and private company experience, Ms. Bryant currently serves as an independent board member at Broadcom and Haemonetics. She previously served on the United Technologies Corp (UTC) board of directors from 2016 to 2020 where she was a member of the board’s audit and finance committees. In addition to her board appointments, she also serves as the chair of the UC Davis Chancellor’s Board of Advisors.
Ms. Bryant was formerly the Chairman and CEO of medical technology and data company NovaSignal. During her tenure, she helped to raise three rounds of VC funding and departed alongside the sale of the company in 2023.
"We are thrilled to welcome Diane to our board of directors," said David Lazovsky, Celestial AI founder and CEO. "Diane’s extensive experience as a technology industry leader, CEO and board member make her an ideal addition to the Celestial AI team. Her leadership experience at Google, Intel and Broadcom will be tremendous assets in this phase of commercialization and deployment of our Photonic Fabric technology with leading hyperscale data center customers. We are also honored to have another game-changing leader who represents the power of women in tech. We look forward to working closely with Diane as we continue on our path to bring light to computing interconnectivity.”
Prior to joining NovaSignal, Ms. Bryant served as the Chief Operating Officer of Google Cloud, where she focused on accelerating the scale and reach of Google Cloud’s business, including industry engagement, customer adoption, enterprise cloud strategy and global supply chain. Additionally, Ms. Bryant was also responsible for Alphabet’s information technology organization. “I am honored to join the Celestial AI Board at a time when the Artificial Intelligence landscape is in desperate need of a disruptive technology like the Photonic Fabric,” said Diane Bryant. “AI training and inference requirements continue to grow at an unprecedented pace, leaving hyperscalers and traditional data centers pushed beyond the limits of performance and economic efficiency. Celestial AI’s Photonic Fabric removes these barriers as the only industry solution with the ability to bring optical interconnectivity to Accelerated Computing that can eliminate the AI “Memory Wall”. I look forward to collaborating with the Celestial AI team and contributing my industry experience and network to help the company continue its monumental growth.”
In addition to her extensive leadership and board experience, Ms. Bryant has received several prestigious awards and accolades throughout her career.
